Hi Again! It's that time -- my post for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog!
This week's challenge is to be inspired by a photo. Here's the photo:
So what inspires you in this photo?? The colors, the leaves, the pattern? Well for me, it was the "blueprint" of the photo. I liked the way it was laid out and that it was inspired me. Here's my "inspired" creation:
I used a paper pack from Close to My Heart called "Dreamin'". I just LOVE this paper and am so sad that it is retiring at the end of this month. Here's what the whole paper pack looks like:
Isn't it just GORGEOUS??? The colors that coordinate are Chocolate, Pacifica, Crystal Blue, Goldrush, Bamboo, Honey, and Colonial White.
My card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The first layer was cut from Chocolate CS at 4" x 5 1/4". I ran the CS through my Texture Boutique from Sizzix using an embossing folder with dots (can't remember the name of the folder - sorry) to give the background some texture.
I used a stamp set called Harvest Happiness.
I cut all of my images using our fabulous Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. I love that we have so many stamp sets that coordinate with this cartridge!
Here's a list of the images I cut and at what size:
Scalloped circle: p. 53, D2, < Oval4 > at 1 1/4"
Leaves: p. 56, D6, shift < Leaf4 > at 1 1/2"
Stem/branch: p. 35, B5, shift < Branch2 > at 1 3/4" x 3" (use the fit to length key for the second size)
Tags: p. 60, D10, < Tag4 > at 1 1/2"
Well that's my creation for this challenge. I hope you liked it. We would love for you to play along! All you need to do is "be inspired" by the picture I posted above AND use CTMH products in your project. (or at least the majority of the products should be). Once you create your project, just add it to the H2H blog.
Have a wonderful week!
