Getting Crafty with Cricut Cuts! (Day 2)

If you are here for the H2H Design Team Challenge, click here.

Welcome to Gettin' Crafty with Cricut Blog hop - Day 2! This blog hop is dedicated to making a project using your cricut and the cuts you can make from a cartridge. This should be a lot of fun.

With so many talented ladies and such a selection of Cricut cartridges, there will be a wide range of projects for you to enjoy. There were no rules, stipulations, or no holds barred to create and create we did!!!

If you just happened to be visiting my blog today, I greatly appreciate that but would love for you to start at the beginning of our hop so, that you don't miss a single project with Lisa. If you have arrived from Chele’s CraftyCreations, then you are on the right cut of the path!!!

For my project today, I have created a cute little take out box.  Check it out:

I had so much fun making this box!  I used our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to create the box AND the rose that you see on the top of the box in the second picture.

The paper for the box is called "Footloose".  The rose was made out of Lagoon cardstock.  The sentiment comes from the February Stamp of the Month - Thoughtful Tidings.  I wanted to add a little texture so I edged or inked the edges of the rose and I stamped the paper with a background stamp from the Love Life stamp set.  I'm not sure you can really see the edging or the stamping that well in the picture but I promise you that it's there.

Here's a list of images I cut using the AP cartridge:

Take out box:  p. 24, A4, shift font layer < Dragnfly > at 11"
Oval shapes:  p. 22, A2, < Oval1 > at 1 1/4" and 1 1/2"
Stars:  p. 40, B10, shift < Star5 > at 3/4"
Flower:  p. 69, #9, shift, font < Heart3 > at 5"

Your next stop along the cutting path is Anita at Anita & Bugs.   Remember, this is a two day hop and be sure to stop back tomorrow for more creativity!!!

If you get lost along the way, here is the entire hop that you won't miss a single piecing!!!

    1. Thanks Lori! I felt like it needed something on top. I only glued it to one side so that it would stay on when you open the box.
