I have been wanting to participate in Mojo Monday's sketch challenges for a while now. I finally had the time and am participating in Challenge #227.
Here's the sketch the provided this week:
Since I have been working with our brand new Lucy paper pack and I still have paper left, I used this adorable paper to create my card.
I used a new stamp set from Close to My Heart called Family Love (D1506). Here's what the entire stamp set looks like:
There are just so many projects I will be using this stamp set on -- love the quotes as well as other images in this set. This set also coordinates with our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
I used our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to make the cuts for this card. You can find the scalloped oval on p. 52, D2, < Oval4 > which I cut at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and the oval from p. 32, B2 < Oval2 > which I cut at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". I also used our Bitty Sparkles on the scalloped circle to help give it a little "pop".
I also edged each piece of the card with Cotton Candy ink using a sponge dauber. I prefer to use a dauber over just a sponge because then at least I have some chance of keeping the ink off of my fingers! I don't know about you, but my husband can always tell when I've been crafting just by looking at my hands.
So there's my entry for Mojo Monday -- hope to participate in this weekly challenge. You should to -- they present great sketches every week!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
