Welcome my friends to the Red, Black, Pink, and White Delight Blog Hop....what great colors to work with and to design a Valentine's Day card or layout for a loved one, a friend, child, or just because!!! What this hop will help you with today is showcasing these colors and what can be made to help give you inspiration!!!!!
If you just happened to be visiting me today, I'm glad that you are visiting but I wouldn't want you to miss one single stop along the way with our hop and would love for you to begin at the beginning which would be Lisa at Scrapping With Lisa. If you arrived from Tsunami Rose Designs
For this Blog Hop, I decided to create a 2-page layout. I haven't scrapbooked in so long and it's time to get back into it! Since I had a hard time getting inspired, I decided to take out one of my "how-to" books that Close to My Heart makes. These books are the BEST! You can just use the layout exactly as they show you OR use it as a base and make it your own ... which is what I did for this layout. I used our Reflections which features 100 12 x 12 scrapbook pages to choose from. Each layout pattern comes complete with a shaded blueprint, detailed assembly instructions, companion layout guides, photo options, and creative techniques. We have several of these "how-to" programs which will unfortunately be retiring at the end of July so now is the time to start getting yours!
My "base" pages came from the "Main-Frame - Four Square" and "Main Frame - Charmed" blueprints. They gave me the start I needed and then I adjusted it as I created.
I used a retired paper from Close to My Heart called "Sweetheart". It was just listed in our "While Supplies Last" sale for only $3! Unfortunately, we are now sold out of this particular paper pack BUT there is still a lot for sale anywhere from 12% - 80% off.
I used our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to help me with cutting out my images for this layout. I have to say that I just cannot live without this cartridge. It made making this layout go so much quicker than had I had to cut everything out by hand.
Here are the images I cut using the AP cart:
Square mats: p. 53, D3, < Square4 > at 1 1/2", 2", 3 1/4", 8"
Letters: p. 36 (B6), p. 38 (B8), p. 41 (C1), p. 44 (C4), p. 49 (C9), p. 57 (D7) using the shift - font keys at 1"
I used a stamp set called Family Love to stamp all my images. Love this stamp set! It not only has great images to stamp out but also coordinates with our Art Philosophy cart - a definite bonus! Here is what it looks like:
