Ladybug Notepad Holder

Today I'm posting a picture of a cute little ladybug notepad holder.  I wanted a cute way to cover a notepad so, of course, I immediately went through my Cricut cartridges to see what I could use.  I ended up using 2 of them:  the exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and a cartridge called "Best Images of 2006".

First I cut a piece of Tulip cardstock 8 1/2" x 11 3/4" and then I scored it at 5" and 6".   I then took a piece of patterned paper from the Stella paper pack and cut it at 5 1/2 x 8 1/4" and adhered it to the top.

Using the Best of 2006 cartridge, I cut out a ladybug at 3 1/2".  I then used our Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the letters at 1".

I love the way it turned out and I know I will be making more.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Cute as a bug! Very smart to keep the embellishments on the cover flat. I see so many note covers that have so many dimensional things on the front that I wonder how in the world they are going to write in it. LOL

    1. Thanks Janis! I learned to do that the hard way. I made this really beautiful notebook for myself for journaling with a pretty paper rose on top. Needless to say, the rose has been crushed :)
