Good morning everyone! This morning's post is all about our challenge over at Heart2Heart - use either polka dots or stripes in your creation. OR take it up a notch and use BOTH!
I decided to make a card using our fabulous, exclusive Dotty for You paper pack.
I also decided to use both polka dots AND stripes in my card. Here it is:
I cut a mat from our Sweet Leaf cardstock and used an embossing folder that I ran through my Sizzix Texture Boutique to create the "stripes" on the background. I cut out six squares of the Dotty for You paper at 1 1/2". I then edged the Sweet Leaf CS and each square with Sweet Leaf ink to give it a little extra texture.
The butterflies were cut out using our amazing Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. You can find these butterflies on page 41, C1, shift, < Bttrfly1 > cut at 1/2". The sentiment shape can be found on page 25, A5, < Rctngle4 > cut at 2 1/2" x 4 1/2". The "Happy Birthday" stamp actually is in one of the stamp sets that comes with the Art Philosophy bundle.
I hope you like my polka dots and stripes themed card. We would love to have you join us over at Heart2Heart. Just follow the rules below and then leave your link at that blog.
* All links must be to artwork that fits the challenge for the week and
contain Close To My Heart products. If it does not include CTMH products, the link
will be removed.
* All links must be
directly to the specific post with the artwork
for the challenge. To do this, compose your post, publish it and then click the
title of the post. This should take you to a page that has only that one post on
it. This is the page we need a link to - not to your whole blog. If the link
sends us to your entire blog, your link will be removed.
* Your blog
MUST mention that you are entering the
challenge at H2H and link to our site. If you don't mention H2H in
your post, your link may be removed. This is a new rule.
consider turning OFF word verification for your comments as it makes it much
more time consuming for our DT members to leave you comments.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Would love to read your comments.
