Lasso a Stamp Set!

I'm so excited that I will be attending my SECOND Close to My Heart Convention in July this year.  It's going to be in Dallas, Texas -- yeehaw!  I had so much fun at last year's Convention which was my first.  I met the most amazing people and learned so much not only about the business aspect of my job but also the creative side.

Close to My Heart really LOVES to do these things in a BIG way.  So this being held in Texas is really appropriate!

They are holding a contest called "Lasso a Stamp Set!"  The card you see in the center of my layout is a die-cut postcard they sent to incorporate into our submission.  If my layout is chosen, I can win a new stamp set of my choice from the brand new Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book!

For this project, I used our Dotty for You paper pack which is being offered this month for National Scrapbooking Month.  The colors were just perfect!  I used a number of different stamp sets on this layout:  Art Philosophy Seasons, Instant Memories, Hooray Bouquet, Love Life, and the stamp sets in the Workshops on the Go for Lucy and Cruisin'.

I used our fabulous Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for the rest of the layout.  I cut the tags on page 70, E10, < Tag5 > at 2".  The stars were on page 40, shift, < Star5 > at 1 3/4" and 2".  The mat behind the die-cut postcard can be found on page 62, E2, < Oval5 > at 6 1/2".  The letters and the numbers were cut at 1 1/2".  I used our Dimensional Elements Notable Alphabet which coordinates with the Art Philosophy cartridge.   I edged the letters with Lagoon ink to make them "pop" a little more.

Finally, I used some of our Natural Hemp to "lasso" the postcard.

This project really made me realize how much I miss scrapbooking and I definitely plan on making more layouts.

Can't wait for Convention!
Only left until Convention 2012 in Dallas, Texas!
