Treasured Friend Card

Good morning everyone!  Today's card is a Gatefold Card.  I found a tutorial on Splicoaststampers that helped me with the measurements for this card.  Before I give you more details, let me show you my card first:

I decided to use our Pemberley paper for this card because it's such a fun pack.  It could be considered "girlie" because of the flowers and then it could be considered more "masculine" because of the colors.  Soooo, I decided to use the more "masculine" paper and stick a flower on it!

I used our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to make the image holding the sentiment.  It can be found on page 56, D6, < Shape4 >.  I cut it at 1" x 4" using the "Fit to Length" key.

The flower comes from our May Stamp of the Month called "Friendship Bouquet".  This stamp is available only through the month of May and can be purchased for only $5 with a $50 purchase (a $17.95 value!).  Click here to get your own.

This card opens sideways from the middle so to speak -- I didn't glue down the flower or the sentiment onto the whole card -- only on the left side so that the card could open.

I hope you enjoyed this card -- would love to read your comments - thanks for stopping by!

There are a lot of videos on YouTube and other instructions when you Google "Cricut" AND "fit to length button".

Hope you try it out soon :)

  4. Beautiful! My grandmother loved sunflowers! She isn't with us any more. But whenever I see a sunflower I think of her :)
