3 Things

Good morning!  Welcome to our Friday challenges!  A new question or theme is posted every Friday. That's 52 projects in 2012 if you do them all!  We thought it would be a neat idea to make all 52 projects part of a mini album... a new page every week based on the question or theme.

But you interpret this challenge any way you like. All forms of crafting are welcome!

Today at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, our challenge is all about the number "3".  We need to use "3 things" or "elements" on our projects.  They can be rhinestones, flowers, die cuts, sentiments, embossing, stickles, charms, googlie eyes, etc.   You can make a tag, a layout, a card, a mini album -- whatever your little creative heart desires :)

I decided that not only would I add "3 elements" to my project, but I would use 3 different Cricut cartridges!  First, some pictures:

Can you see my 3 elements?  They are the die-cut Mickey, the sentiment "Surprise" and the liquid pearl dots in the two corners of the bag.  I can't tell you how many times I have needed a gift bag for someone - for their birthday, thank you, just because.  I hate spending all that extra money - sometime $2-$5 to get a gift bag at the store.  I have been wanting to make a set of gift bags to have at home ... just in case.  I figured this was my chance to get started!

Okay for the 3 Cricut cartridges I used.  They were the Art Philosophy (duh!), Mickey and Friends, and Elmo and Friends Holiday.  For the AP, I cut the image on page 54, D4, < Rctngle2 > at 3" x 4 3/4" (using the Fit to Length key).  I cut the sentiment "Surprise!" from the Elmo cart.  It was on page 33, B3, phrase, < CkMtr2 >; cut at 1 1/4" x 4" (again using the Fit to Length key).  Finally, I cut Mickey from the Mickey & Friends cart.  He was on page 29, A2, < Mickey1 >; cut at 3".

I used some retired Close to My Heart paper called Zippidee.  It's just perfect for Disney themed projects.  I cut the first layer of Honey cardstock at 4 1/4" x 5 1/4".  The second layer was Indian Corn Blue cardstock and was cut at 4" x 5".   I used Cranberry and Black cardstock for the sentiment.
