Annabelle's Banner

Today's project is actually an extension of an earlier project I posted - the "Pig Post-It Note Holder".  You can check it out here.  This is another project I made for Annabelle, a friend's daughter, to celebrate her 9th birthday.  She LOVES pigs and so I wanted to make her a "pig" name banner.  I had made her sister a "monkey" name banner.  It was a big hit (I'm happy to say).  To see Sophia's monkey banner, click here.

Here are some pictures of Annabelle's name banner:

Since Annabelle's name is so long - 9 letters - I decided to use our My Creations Mini Banner.  Otherwise, the banner would have been waaaaay too long!  What I love about our banners is that they coordinate so well with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (AO).  No more tracing and cutting the banner by hand.  I used our Stella paper for the banner pennants themselves because Lagoon is a coordinating color.  It's a really pretty, vibrant blue which is one of Annabelle's favorite colors.  The pennants can be found in the AP booklet as follows:

p. 29, A9, < Banner2 >
p. 39, B9, < Banner3 >
p. 49, C9, < Banner4 >
p. 59, D9, < Banner5 >

Each banner was cut at 4".  I also used the AP cartridge to cut out the letters of her name at 1 1/2".  To give her name dimension, I adhered the letters to the chipboard letters found in the Dimensional Elements Notable Alphabet set.  This chipboard set also coordinates with the AP cart - so no more tracing and cutting the paper for the letters.  Sweet!

I used my second favorite Cricut cartridge - Create-A-Critter - to make all the pigs.  The pig can be found on page 28, A5, < Pig > cut at 4" using Hollyhock and Blush cardstock.

I didn't have any "birthday" bags to put her gifts in so I grabbed a brown paper bag I had in my stash.  (I had bought a bunch at Hobby Lobby awhile ago) and decided to alter it to match her gifts.  Here's a picture of the bag:

I used our Stella paper which was cut at 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" for both sides.  I then cut "Happy Birthday" using the AP cart - 1" tall.  The bag is pretty simple because, well, it's a bag!
