Good morning! Hope your week has gone well. Today's project is something I made for a friend's daughter, Annabelle. It's one of a couple of things I am making for her birthday. Since this is a belated gift, I'm making her several things to make up for the fact that it's late!
A friend of mine, Kathi of Kards by Kathi, showed me these really cute easel cards she made that are actually post-it note holders. Click here to go to her blog where you can check out her Hello Kitty post-it note holder.
Check out my version of the Easel Card/Post-It Note Holder:
Isn't that little piglet too cute??? Annabelle just loves pigs and she loves the color Aqua Blue -- this is the closest I could come to that color :)
The paper is actually called Footloose from Close to My Heart. I cut the base of the holder using Lagoon cardstock at 4 1/4" x 11". I then scored it at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". I took some Creme Brulee cardstock and cut it at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" and edged it with Cocoa ink. The next matte is a sheet that comes from the Footloose paper and was cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and also edged with Cocoa ink. Finally, the matte directly beneath Miss Piggy is a scalloped rectangle I cut using our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. The image is found on page 54, D4, < Rctngle2 > cut at 3 1/2" x 5" (using Fit to Length).
For the darling little piggy, I used my second most favorite Cricut cartridge - Create-A-Critter. You can find her on page 28, A5, < Pig > cut at 3 1/2". I used Hollyhock, Baby Pink, and Black cardstock to cut her out.
