Mickey and Friends Blog Hop - Day 2

If you are looking for my post about how you can earn FREE stamps, click here.
Welcome to the second (but not last) Mickey and Friends Blog Hop! This will be a two-day hop from June 11 at 9:00 AM through June 12 at 11:00 PM.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at Lisa's blog - Handmade with Love, and hop along with us.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a two day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back both days to see great projects.

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa Designs and she will be the first stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop. You also must become a follower of her blog, her DT blog at http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/ and all blogs in this hop.  The grand prize for the blog hop is $20 in free files over at scrappingwithlisadesigns.com.

My project is another Disney page for my mini album that I am making.  You can see some of the other pages I created here and here.  Here are a couple of pictures of my next 9 x 9 layout:

I used Zippidee paper from Close to My Heart - it's now retired.  LOVE this paper!  To come up with my layout design, I took out my copy of Magic, a "how-to" book from Close to My Heart.  It's retiring at the end of July, so now's the time to grab your copy - it's available only while supplies last.  I used the pattern called "Magician's Choice" on pages 116 - 119.
The squares for the layout are 3" x 3".  I used our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut some of the mattes:  the scalloped circle is on page 31, B1, < Circle2 > cut at 2 3/4" and the scalloped square is on page 33, B3, < Square2 > cut at 2 3/4".
The top middle square is actually an accordion booklet that I made -- cut at 3" x 12" and scored at every 3".  I put ribbon around the outside to hold it in.  It's a great way to add extra pictures to the layout.
The "Disney" sentiment actually came from yesterday's layout - it's the shadow from yesterday's layout.  I hate wasting paper.
I used Cricut's Mickey and Friends to cut out all of my Disney images:
Mickey head:  page 28, A1, shift, shadow:base/icon, < mickey-s > cut at 2 1/2" - Black cardstock.
Mickey hand (upper left):  page 32, A5, shift, shadow: base/icon, < mickey4S > cut at 2 1/2" - Black and White cardstock .
Mickey hand (lower right):  page 33, A6, shift, shadow: base/icon, < mkypto-s > cut at 2 1/2" - Black and White cardstock.
Goofy:  page 62, D5, < goofyhd > cut at 3" - Black, White, Sweet Leaf, Goldrush, Parchment cardstock.
Pluto:  page 63, D6, < plutohd > cut at 3" - Black, White, Honey, Indian Corn Blue, and Hollyhock cardstock.
Supplies Used:
Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge
Magic Interactive Scrapbook Program (9034)
Zippidee Paper

I hope you enjoyed this next page in my 9 x 9 Disney album -- would love to read your comments.  Remember, I'm going to have my own personal giveaway:  leave a comment and become a follower of my blog.  I will pick someone at random to receive  your own copy of my layout from Day 1 of the hop!  You can decide if you want the layout put together and ready to use OR if you want the "pieces" so you can make your own creation.
Your next stop is Evila at French Connection Designs.
Have a great day and I look forward to reading your comments.

Lucy

  1. Oh my, this is SUPER cute. We used to go to Disney all the time when we had passes. Since the kids are older they like Universal now.
