Mickey and Friends Blog Hop

If you are looking for my post about how you can earn FREE stamps, click here.

Welcome to the second (but not last) Mickey and Friends Blog Hop! This will be a two-day hop from June 11 at 9:00 AM through June 12 at 11:00 PM.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at Lisa's blog - Handmade with Love, and hop along with us.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a two day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back both days to see great projects.

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa Designs and she will be the first stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop. You also must become a follower of her blog, her DT blog at and all blogs in this hop.  The grand prize for the blog hop is $20 in free files over at

My project is another Disney page for my mini album that I am making.  You can see one of the first pages I created here.  First, let me show you a picture of my 9 x 9 layout:

Where to begin ... the background paper I used is from a retired paper pack from Close to My Heart called Zippidee which was cut at 8 1/2" x 8 1/2".  I just loved this paper and ended up stocking up on it because I knew I would be making a LOT of Disney projects.  I used two Cricut cartridges for my page:  Art Philosophy (of course!) and Mickey and Friends.

The circle and ovals came from the AP cart:  p. 21, A1, < Circle1 > cut at 5" and p. 42, C2, < Oval3 > cut at 2".

The remaining shapes were cut using the Mickey and Friends cartridge:

Disney heart:  p. 67, D10, cut at 3" x 5" (using Fit to Length) - Black and Cranberry cardstock

Mickey head:  p. 28, A1, shift, shadow: base/icon, cut at 7" - Black cardstock

Mickey:  p. 29, A2, < mickey1 > cut at 3" - Black, Cranberry, Honey, and Parchment cardstock

Minnie:  p. 39, B2, < minnie1 > cut at 3" - Black, Cranberry, Indian Corn Blue, Parchment and White cardstock

Supplies Used:
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (Z1686)
Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge
Zippidee Paper (retired)
Black cardstock (1386)
Cranberry cardstock (1272)
Indian Corn Blue cardstock (X5915)
Honey cardstock (X5668)
Parchment cardstock (X5926)
White cardstock (1388)

I hope you enjoyed the next page in my 9 x 9 Disney album -- would love to read your comments.  I'm going to have my own personal giveaway:  leave a comment and become a follower of my blog.  I will pick someone at random to receive  your own copy of this layout!  You can decide if you want the layout put together and ready to use OR if you want the "pieces" so you can make your own creation.
Your next stop is Evila at French Connection Designs.
Have a great day and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for another great project!
