We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup
with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects
This month we will be showcasing the "Decorative Layer" (shift or no shift) feature of the cartridge.
If you just happened to come to this blog, then you're in the RIGHT place since I'm the first stop!
My project is a card using the Decorative Layer on page 62 of the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
First let me show you my card:
I made this card using our new La Belle Vie paper. Just LOVE the colors!
The card base was cut from page 62, E2, Card, < Oval5 > cut at 5 1/2". The second and third layers as well as the matte for the sentiment also came from page 62, E2, < Oval5 > cut at 2 1/4", 2 1/2", and 3 3/4".
Now you're probably asking yourself "What about the decorative layer?" Well, it's the brackets I made! I cut the image on page 62, E2, Shift, Decorative Layer < Oval5 > at 3 3/4".
Here's the picture of the Decorative Layer for you:

Instead of using the entire image, I used the pieces (brackets) that were left on the Cricut mat after I cut and removed the original image. Basically, I used the "white" part in the above image. Does that make sense? I just hate waste :)
I used some pop dots to "pop" up the sentiment off of the card base. The sentiment came from our stamp set "4 My Friend"
