Chocolate Blog Hop

Next to diamonds, chocolate is a girl's best friend and in some cases it may even rank higher than diamonds. This hop takes some neat approaches to chocolate so I hope you can take the time to hop through and see how these crafters expressed their love of chocolate.

You will start at Lorby's World but make sure you make it all the way to the end because Tee at One Scrap at a Time is giving away two files from The Cutting Cafe to one lucky winner. Tee will have all the details on how to sign up for the drawing when you arrive at her blog.

So get out your box of hidden chocolates and enjoy the hop...

Well anybody that knows me or my husband knows that we do love our chocolate ESPECIALLY my husband.  So when I saw this hop, I thought to myself "how perfect!"  I'm always looking for cute and inexpensive decorations and/or candy holders for the upcoming holidays.  So I decided to make Halloween candy holders that would look cute on our table.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Yup - those are Peanut M and M's in those little flower pots!  Hubby LOVES them and I figured it was better to have his candy out on the table more than the candy I love -- I won't eat those :)

I used our exclusive Moonlight paper to make the "flower pots" which I cut using our exclusive Artiste Cricut cartridge.  The image can be found on page 54, C4, 3D Object < f > cut at 2.5".  I used my bone folder to help crease the edges of the little pots which will help them have a good shape and stay together better. I used redline double-sided tape to hold them together.  I also cut some pieces of the 3D Foam Tape to hold the sides down but also let them have some dimension and not be flat.

I took some Popsicle sticks and covered them with paper.  I then stamped the toppers using 2 different stamp sets:  Perfect Fit - Frames and Perfect Fit - Halloween which coordinate together perfectly.  I used Sweet Leaf, Autumn Terracotta, and Smokey Plum inks.  What I also LOVE about these stamp sets is that they coordinate with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge so I don't have to cut out them out manually with scissors - BONUS!
