As you can see from the list above, I chose two holidays for this month: Read a Book Day and International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Read a Book Day is September 6 - I create a couple of cards:
I used the Scholastic paper pack from Close to My Heart. I really love the quote I used from Dr. Seuss:
"The more that you read,
the more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
the more places you'll go.”
I cut the tag using our Artiste Cricut cartridge - page 39, A9, Card, < 9 > cut at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" using Champagne cardstock.
To stamp the word "READ", I used a stamp set called "Friendship Alphabet Small". This stamp set is retired and no longer available -- sorry - I really love using it.

Champagne Cardstock (X5931)
Friendship Alphabet Small (C1401)
For my next holiday, I chose International Talk Like a Pirate Day which is held on September 19. I decided to make a Halloween card using a pirate theme:
I used the Moonlight paper pack again -- just love this paper! The Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge was perfect for this card. The pirate girl was just adorable. I cut her at 2 3/4". You can find her on page 44. I used another retired stamp set called "Ahoy Matey" for the pirate "talk": "Yo Ho", "Ahoy", "Matey", and "Arr".
