Pause Dream Enjoy (PDE) Ch#2 DESSERTS
Paper Playtime (PPT) Ch#2 Use some BROWN
This year we are doing something different. Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges will now post every other Monday.
Doesn't it make you want to take a bite?? I haven't decided what kind of card this will be yet -- birthday, thinking of you, invitation to come over for dessert (ha!) so I haven't done anything in the inside yet.
I made this card using a now retired Close to My Heart paper pack called "Stella" and some Lagoon cardstock. I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut out my cute little cupcake. It's actually designed to be a card shaped in a cupcake but I decided to cut it a little smaller and adhere it to the front of my card. I may even put a "surprise" note in the front since I didn't adhere the cupcake "wrapper" closed. You can find this image on page 70, D10, Card, < Hppy Bday >. I cut it at 4".
I added some "bling" by adhering a bunch of Sparkles - these are self-adhesive so they are very easy to use.
Here's what the stamp actually looks like:
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my dessert creation. I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge. Don't forget you need to link up your creation no later than Sunday, February 3. Here's the link to our challenge website: Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.

Well we have started a new year of challenges over at Pause Dream Enjoy and I am SO happy to continue to be a part of the Design Team there!
This year we are doing something different. Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges will now post every other Monday.
This week's challenge is "Desserts!" When I think of desserts, one of my first thoughts is ... CUPCAKES! And so I present to you ... my cupcake card!
Doesn't it make you want to take a bite?? I haven't decided what kind of card this will be yet -- birthday, thinking of you, invitation to come over for dessert (ha!) so I haven't done anything in the inside yet.

Did you notice the swirls in the background of the card base? After I adhered the cupcake to the front, I thought the background looked too plain. I found a stamp set on my desk called "Love" which had some swirls in it so I decided to ink up the swirly part of the stamp and random stamp the background. I thought it added a little "somethin' something" extra to the card.
Here's what the stamp actually looks like:
See the swirls? That's what I inked and then stamped on my card. Don't you love to find new ways to use something you already have?

Yummy cupcake! I love the bling on there and the swirl stamping is so cool! I would have never guessed it was from a heart stamp!
