My post today comes from my post over at Card-a-Day blog. Our theme this week (as well as the challenge) is "Get Well" cards.
I decided I wanted to make a folded card for this challenge/theme. I had seen a folded card in an old crafting magazine a while ago and the idea popped into my idea for this challenge. Before I say anymore, let me show you my card:
By the way, you're also getting a "sneak peek" at a new paper that we are coming out with at Close to My Heart: Chantilly! That's the paper I used to cut the letters "w - e - l - l" for the card. Don't you just LOVE these colors!
I used my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut the letters. They can be found as follows:
W - page 32, B2, Shift, Font, < Accent > cut at 2"
e - page 33, B3, Font, < Square2 > cut at 2" x 3 1/4" (fit to length key)
l - page 49, C9, Font, < Banner4 > cut at 2" x 3 1/4" (fit to length key)
I then used a stamp set called "Trinity" for "get" and "soon" stamping the letters with Cotton Candy ink.
This card WILL fit in an A2 envelope as when you fold it up, it measures 3" x 4 1/2".
Why don't you join us over at Card-a-Day blog and submit your card for this challenge -- we do have a "SURPRISE" giveaway from one of our designers, Tina Campbell of Tina's Scrap Corner. Definitely check out Tina's blog -- she did a card yesterday for this challenge that is just darling!
