Welcome to the White as Snow Blog Hop where the idea was to either create something that has white as a primary color or as the background. 'm sure some of these crafty bloggers got creative and combined both but you will only be able to find out by hopping along with us today...
Our hostess for this hop is Jearise from Lorby's World and it's a good thing to start at her blog because she has a special give away of her own and all the details are on her blog.
We also have a guest blogger, Anita from Anita and Bugs, who also has an awesome give away on her blog.
Our wonderful sponsor for today's blog hop is THE CUTTING CAFE so please make sure you visit their online store to see all the wonderful cutting and printable files they have.
The Cutting Cafe is giving away to one lucky winner 3 files of their choice. To qualify, you need to visit The Cutting Cafe store and then "like" The Cutting Cafe on FACEBOOK and let Regina, the owner, know that you came from the White as Snow Blog. I can tell you now that if you like printable sayings and cutting files, you will love her designs and she has specials going on all the time on her FACEBOOK page.
Now on to the hop...
Here's my card I made with a white background and just a "splash" of color:
This is an A2 size card measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then took another piece of White cardstock measuring 4" x 5" and ran it through an embossing folder. I cut it into 1" panels and then adhered them to the base of the card leaving a little space between each panel.
I used a stamp set called "Pun Fun" from Close to My Heart for the image on the right hand side. I stamped the image with Black Staz-On ink and colored it using Black, Sky and Honey markers.
I cut the circle at 1 3/4" using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge - page 21, A1, < Circle1 >. The second circle can be found on page 51, D1, < Circle4 > and was cut at 2 1/4" out of Sky cardstock.
This was a challenge for me since I find that I like to have lots of color on my cards but I liked the way this ended up -- I hope you do too!
Thank you so much for joining us today and your next stop is Jessi of My Life in Arts n' Crafts.
