For my "Gift for My Sweetheart", I decided to make a gift bag for my hubby for Valentine's day.  I already have his gift or should I say gifts and I needed something to put the goodies in.

I hope he likes it!  I wanted to make something "Valentine-y" but not too girly girl, you know?  I was inspired by a card pattern that I saw in the For Always Workshop on the Go Cardmaking kit from Close to My Heart.

The bag measures 8" x 10".  So I took a piece of Black cardstock and cut it at 7 3/4" x 9 3/4".  The next layer is a piece of Ruby cardstock which was cut at 7 1/2" x 9 1/2".

The patterned paper comes from the new Close to My Heart paper pack called "For Always".  It's primary colors are black and white which means you can add any splash of color to it.  I actually used most of the product in the For Always Workshop on the Go Kit Scrapbooking Kit which includes the paper, ribbon, sparkles and an exclusive stamp set.

I used the zip strip from the top of one of the papers for the sentiment in the middle of the bag.  I cut it into 3 sections.  It says:

"Everyone says you only fall in love once, but that's not true, because every time I see you,
I fall in love all over again."

I used Lagoon cardstock for the hearts I cut out and Lagoon ink to stamp the heart image and the sentiment on the tag.  The heart image was cut using our Artiste Cricut cartridge.  It can be found on page 66, D6, Shift, Accent 1, < N > cut at 1 3/4" (Real Dial Size).  The stamps in this stamp set actually coordinate with the Artiste and so I didn't have to hand cut the hearts.

I cut the tag for the bag using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The tag can be found on page 60, D10,  < Tag4 > cut at 3" and 3 1/4".  I just realized that I hadn't check the boxes on the tag before I took the picture - I guess that will be between me and my hubby :)
