We have a super sponsor this month - The Stamping Chef, who has graciously offered 3 digis of the lucky winners choice who comment on the Design Team Blog at The Stamping Chef become a follower.
I decided to create a two-page layout for "Make a Friend Day". I was inspired by the layout in the Close to My Heart Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book that also used the Claire paper pack - you can find the original layout on page 43. I liked it for its simplicity. I have a tendency to want to add too many things to my creations, so I am using the "clean and simple" approach to my layout:
The pattern or blueprint for the layouts came from our Reflections Scrapbook Program. I used the Keepsake Alphabet stamp set for the sentiment "friends". I stamped it using Outdoor Denim ink. I used the zip strips from the tops of the papers on the 2nd page of the layout.
The flower in the middle of the 2nd page was cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. You can find the flower image on page 29, A9, Shift, < Flower6 > cut at 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". I also put a little bling in the center from the Sparkles Assortment.
SUPPLIES USED
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (Z1686)
Claire paper pack (X7166B)
Reflections Scrapbook Program (9037)
Keepsake Alphabet (E1024)
Outdoor Denim Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad (Z2140)
Sparkles Assortment - Round, Black and Grey (Z1754)
I hope you enjoyed my project. Your next stop along the way of the calendar is Tabetha of Tabetha's Creations. Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar
