Here's my project for this challenge:

Inside of Card

As you can see my "hat" for this challenge is a graduation cap!  I know that graduation season isn't for a couple of months but I have decided this year that I need to be more ahead of the game.  I used 2 different paper packs from Close to My Heart:  Tommy and Dakota.

For the card shape, I used our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. This cartridge has about 100 different card shapes to use!  This one can be found on page 58, D8, Card, < Tab2 > and was cut at 5 1/2" so it would fit in a standard A2 size envelope.

The graduation cap was cut using the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge.  You can find the image on page 48, B7, Shift, < gradhat > cut at 3".

The sentiments on the inside and outside of the card come from the stamp set that is exclusive to our For Always Workshop on the Go Card Kit.

Are you making cards for graduation this year?  Do you start early or wait until it's just about here (like I usually do!)?

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my "hat" creation.  I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge.  Don't forget you need to link up your creation no later than Sunday, March 3.  Here's the link to our challenge website:  Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

  2. Your grad card takes the diploma. Did you toss your grad hat into the air when you graduated? I did not because for high school grad we had to return the hat & gown to the school to get our real diploma (they gave us the holder at grad but to get the actual piece of paper we had to turn in our hat & gown and they were reused each yr but this was a good thing because nowadays they have to be bought. For college grad I borrowed one from a person so I did not have to buy and did not want to lose their hat. My daughter at her high school grad tossed hers but got one back whether it was hers or not. Her college grad will be next yr.
