The Everything ABCs Hop
Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter "E". This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their "E" element will be featured in their post.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy. If you just came from Amber's blog, then you're on the right track!
So for my "E" project, I chose EASTER! AND a stamp set called EASTER WISHES. Here's what I made:
I made these cute little Easter baskets! I had previously made a different version of these baskets but then I saw a video from a fellow CTMH Consultant (I'm so sorry I can't find the link again and don't know her name to give her credit) and just fell in love with this shape.
Basically take a 6" x 6" piece of cardstock and score it at 2" and at 4" and then rotate it once and score it a second time at 2" and 4". I then cut 1 3/4" squares of Chantilly paper and Pear cardstock and adhered them to each square.
The stamp set I used is called Easter Wishes and has those cute little chick in an egg images. Then the cool part is that since the stamp set coordinates with our exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, I cut the egg shape to stamp the image in - and didn't have to hand cut them! The egg shape can be found on page 57, D7, < Shape9 > cut at 2". I then cut the scalloped circle out of Cotton Candy cardstock (another coordinating color to this cute paper) from page 31, B1, < Circle2 > at 2 1/4". I then used Pear and Cotton candy ink to edge the shapes/pieces.
The handle was cut at 1/2" x 6" out of Pear cardstock and I stamped "Easter Wishes" on the handle - the sentiment is stamped in Pear ink.
