Think Happy Thoughts

Good Morning!

Today I was the designer on Card-a-Day blog.  This week's theme is "Spring!".  I just love Spring and always associate bright, vibrant colors with it.  That, along with page 20 of the Close to My Heart Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book inspired my card for today's theme:

When I saw the altered canvas journal in the Idea Book, I knew it would make a beautiful card!  I used our Chantilly paper pack, as well as our Happy Thoughts stamp set.  The coordinating colors I used were Cotton Candy, Twilight, Pear, Ruby, and Buttercup.  I changed the design up a bit by not adding a tag, using Buttercup cardstock as the base, and stamping the sentiment on the upper part of the card.

For the scalloped edge of the designer paper on the left hand side, I actually used our Corner Rounder!

I took the guard off and then was able to scallop punch my border -- it's 2-fer tool!
