Good Morning Everyone!
This week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges we are asking you to add a "sewing" element to your creations! Now, we know not everything likes to or can sew, so your sewing element can be "real" or "faux".
Mine ... is "faux". I'm not a seamstress and I can't sew anything at all so ... here's MY project:
I purchased the chipboard "L" at Hobby Lobby -- it cost $1.99. I used the chevron paper from our For Always paper pack. The "stitches" that outline the letter and the stitched heart actually come from our stamp set "Stitched Together", I LOVE that it looks like I may have really stitched on my creation! If you look closely at the "L", on the left hand side, you will see a bunch of "x's" and "o's" stamped in black ink. That image came from the stamp set in the For Always Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go and was stamped with our Black pigment ink.
I ended up using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut out the heart shape from the Stitched Together stamp set. Now just so you know, this stamp set does not officially coordinate with the Art Philosophy. I just decided to try and see if one of the heart shapes on the cartridge would work ... and it did! Don't you love it when something like that happens? You can find the heart-shaped image on page 26, A6, Shift, < Heart1 > cut at 1 1/4".
Finally, for the letters spelling out "LOVE U" that I placed on the inside of each heart, I used our Tiny Type Epoxy Alphabet.
