So ON TO MY PROJECT!  A friend of mine is going to be having a birthday party for her son who is turning 1 in a couple of weeks and I wanted to do something special for them.  Soooo, I created a cute little animal birthday banner to put at the party:

I think I'm going to add his name to the banner as we get closer to the party date I just haven't decided how I want to do that yet.  Here are some closeups of each animal pennant:

I tell you this little animals just make me smile each time I look at them!  To create this banner, I started with the My Creations Mini Banner from Close to My Heart.  This cute little banner comes with 10 white chipboard pennants in 4 different shapes and 9 jump rings.  The mini pennants are approximately 4" x 3".  What I love about this set, other than it's cute little size, is that it coordinates with our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  What that means is that I don't have to lay paper down on the pennant, trace it, then hand cut it out.  I just got to my Cricut machine and punch in the right keys and the machine cuts it for me!  Love it!!

For the background, I used a paper pack calledLater Sk8r because I loved the colors.  For the cute little animals, I used Create-a-Critter and Create-a-Critter 2.  I cut each animal at 4".  I so love these cartridges -- I have used Create-a-Critter so many times in projects.  I got Create-a-Critter 2 for Christmas and am starting to use it more and more.

Well .... then I got to thinking -- wouldn't it be cute to have a set of matching cards to use as Thank You cards for after the party?  Soooo ....

Aren't they cute?  They are A2 sized measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" which means they will fit in a standard card envelope.  I used the same paper as I used for the banner to make these.
