Glitter Blog Hop

If you are looking for my project for the Christmas in July Blog Hop, please click here.

Welcome to the Glitter Blog Hop hosted by Lorby's World. These talented crafters believe a little or a lot of glitter can make any project sparkle and today they are going to prove it with their creations. Please visit each participant and leave a little bit of love on their blogs.

Jearise from Lorby's World has a special drawing to go along with today's hop. One lucky winner will win a $10 gift card from Michael's. Just leave a comment on her blog so we know you joined us today. The winner will be announced on Sunday, July 28th so make sure you visit that day to see if you are the lucky winner.

Here's what I made all "glittery":

This is an A2 size card measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I tried to create something that didn't use patterned paper.  I'm pretty happy with it I think.  For my "glittery" products I used some Stickles and Glitter Glitz Gel.  The bee, caterpillar, and grass/mushroom border came from the Bugs and Hugs stamp set from Close to My Heart.  I used the Yellow Stickles on the bee.  I used Red Glitz Glitter Gel on the caterpillar ( I know he probably shouldn't have been stamped in red but I really like the way he turned out ).  I used Green Glitz Glitter Gel on the grass border on the bottom.  I used Yellow Stickles on the bumblebee.  I stamped the sentiment "Bugs & Hugs" using Sky ink. I stamped the sentiment in a cloud image that I cut using our Artiste Cricut cartridge.  You can find the image on page 70, D10, Accent 2, < HppyBday > at 1 3/4" x 3 1/2".  The smaller clouds were cut at 3/4" x 1 1/2".  All were cut using the Fit to Length key.  The clouds were edged with Sky ink.
