Paper Playtime Challenge #15

Morning!

Here at Paper Playtime, we are on Challenge #15 -- use patterned paper!   Here's what I used my patterned paper on ... composition notebooks!  I just love altering composition books and I use them for everything - personal and business.  Here are two I recently did:

The first notebook is for my bible study.  The second is my gratitude journal.  I try to write in both everyday.  I just took the black and white composition notebooks you can get at Staples, Target, Walmart, etc. and then use whatever paper strikes me.

For the first notebook, I used paper from the For Always paper pack from Close to My Heart.  I thought the colors would be perfect. The top sentiment comes from the stamp set "Be Still" and says "Be Still and Know that I am God".  I cut the shape that I stamped on using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. You can find the shape on page 51, D1, < Circle4 > cut at 3 and 3 1/4".  The shape on the bottom right of this notebook can be found on page on the same page just with the outer frame.  The sentiment on the bottom right says

"What lies behind us and what lies before us
are small matters compared to what lies within us."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The image comes from the Scrapbook Sentiments - Poets stamp set.

For the second notebook the front and inside covers came from a paper pack from DCWV - unfortunately I can't find the name of the pack. It had the neatest patterned papers -- you know the kind that are really cool to look at but aren't overpowering?  For the sentiment on the front "grateful" I used some retired paper from Close to My Heart called Claire - I just love the colors and thought they worked well with the DCWV paper.  I cut the sentiment using our brand new Artbooking Cricut cartridge (available 8/1 - contact me for per-orders).  The sentiment can be found on page 72, Dr5, Title, < b > cut at 4" using the Real Dial Size key.

In the bottom right hand corner, I cut the flower using our Artiste Cricut cartridge along with the Hello Blooms stamp set which coordinates -- meaning NO fussy cutting of that shape.  Though I did fussy cut the bird on the inside.

I hope you enjoyed my project for our challenge -- don't forget to enter your project into our Patterned Paper challenge at Paper Playtime to be be eligible to win our giveaway from The Robin's Nest and My Craft Spot.
