Shadows and Shades

Good Morning Crafters!

Today's post is all about "shadows and shades" or as we call it over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges ... "ombre"!

Merriam-Webster defines "ombre" as:

having colors or tones that shade into each other —used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark
Here's what I came up with:

I've really been into mini-cards lately so I decided to make another set.  I wanted to do something "clean and simple" but I think I may have just gone "simple" with this one ESPECIALLY after what I saw my fellow Design Team members come up with for this challenge.

In my head, this was a great idea, after doing it, I think it's alright.  I have to say I think it looks better in person though.

The sentiment came from our stamp set called Just for You.  The arrows came from a brand new stamp set that you can purchase starting August 1 called One Way Borders.

I used the following colors to make my "shadows and shades":  Blush, Cotton Candy, Hollyhock, and Smoothie.

Now don't forget to stop by Heart 2 Heart challenge and submit your own "ombre" project.  The rules are simple:  use mostly Close to My Heart products and make sure you link DIRECTLY to your post otherwise it's hard for us to find it.  For the exact guidelines to submit, just click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by -- have a wonderfully crafty day!!
