Today I come to you from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog!
Here's the sketch we were given this week:
Here is my "take" on the sketch:
So, before I tell you HOW I made the card, let me just share with you that I had SUCH a difficult time with this sketch for some reason. I just wasn't feeling it at all! I can't tell you how many versions I came up with for this card. This is what I settled on, and to be honest, I'm still not sure if I like it or not. BUT, it is what it is and sometimes with crafting and creating you just have to push through. You know what I mean? I'm thinking I'm not the only out there who has felt this before -- right??
Anyway, this is an A2 size card measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used a new paper pack from Close to My Heart called "Huntington" which has some really pretty fall colors in it. (Maybe THAT'S IT - I just wasn't ready for fall yet??) I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut out the flowers for my card at 1" - 2".
I then used a stamp set called A True Thank You for my sentiment. I stamped it with Barn Red ink - a coordinating ink color.
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (Z1686)
Huntington paper pack (X7174B)
A True Thank You stamp set (M1029)
Barn Red Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad (Z2104)
Sponge Daubers (Z726)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to link up YOUR card at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog using this sketch. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Have a wonderfully crafty day!
