Cast Thy Burden

Good Morning!

This morning I come to you from Card-a-Day blog where we post a card EVERY day of the year and have various weekly themes to challenge ourselves and you!

Our theme this week is "With Faith".  As I said on my post at Card-a-Day, this couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I feel like I really need to have more faith lately than things will work out the way they are supposed to.  It's difficult to do and making this card was a step in the right direction for me:

I made this A2 size card using a paper pack called For Always.  I just love the black and white patterns and the fact that you can use ANY other color to coordinate.  I also used one of our "how-to" programs to help me design the card.  You can find the pattern for this card in our Make It From Your Heart - Vol 2 - it's pattern 21.

For the background, I used our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  You can find the image on page 28, A8, < Shape11 > cut at 1 1/4".  Now if you don't have this cartridge, you can also use a corner rounder and round the opposite corners of a 1 1/4" square.  Don't you love having options?

I cut the tag using our Art Philosophy cartridge.  The tag can be found on page 50, C10, < Tag3 > cut at 3 1/4" and 3 1/2".  I cut the tag using Lagoon and Black cardstock.  I stamped the verse using Lagoon ink.

The verse comes from our stamp set Look to the Light and says:

Cast thy burden
upon the Lord, and he shall
sustain thee.
                                      - Psalms 55:22

I edged the mat the verse was stamped on with Lagoon ink.
