It's Sentimental Saturday over at CricutDIVA blog where I am on the Design Team. On Saturdays our projects are required to have some kind of sentiment included. For mine, I am showing you an altered notebook I made:

I want you to see what the notebook looked like before I altered it -- it is a Black and White Composition notebook:

Some people don't do anything to the inside covers of the notebooks but I really don't like the way they look so I always cover them as well.
I used a paper pack from Close to My Heart called Laughing Lola for my notebook - I just LOVE the colors in this paper pack ESP the Gypsy purple color. For the sentiment I used a stamp set called Scrapbook Statements - Poets. Here is the quote I stamped:

For the sentiment I used our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. You can find it on page 65, E5, < Rctngle8 > cut at 2" x 3 1/4", 2 1/4" x 3 3/4", and 2 1/2" x 4". I always used a card colored piece of cardstock for the back of my notebooks. It is less likely to rip AND it will help cover up any spots or dirt that is picked up.
I stamped the word "TEAM" using our Framework Alphabet stamp set. "TEAM" is the name of a networking group that I belong to. I take this with me to take notes.
Now for the inside of the notebook:
So, for the inside of notebooks, I always create a pocket to hold any additional notes or papers. Though it's probably difficult to see the pocket, there IS one there :) I stamped the words "love it!" and "noteworthy" using Black and Gypsy ink. The mini pennant banners were cut using our Art Philosophy cartridge as well - page 68, E8, < Banner1 > cut at 2".
