Are you ready to head back to school? Let's go!

I decided to create a 12" x 12" layout for the first day of school:

I was looking for inspiration and so turned to the Close to My Heart Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book.  There are some great projects in the book.  You can find this one on page 100.  I didn't follow it exactly but pretty cloase.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut the tag and several of the stamped images.  For the "First Day" sentiment I used our Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  I used a number of different colors of cardstock:  Chocolate, White Daisy, Sunset, Creme Brulee, Sky, and Lagoon.

For the faux stitching, I used a stamp set called Stitch Wonder.   For the "School Days" tag, the pencil that says "this rocks", and the stamped design on the Sunset cardstock, I used the stamp set "School Years".  Finally, I used the All the Details stamp set for the sentiment "noteworthy" the name badge, and arrows.  I stamped the arrows using inks from the Adventure Mini Pigment Inks Set -- these inks are fabulous and help create a clear, crisp image.
