Yes, It's Called Artbooking for a Reason

As many of you know, Close to My Heart has just released a brand, new Cricut cartridge:  Artbooking!!! It's nothing short of fantastic!!!  Oh the things you will be creating with this cartridge - we don't even know where to begin!  So, we decided to show you some of the creations WE have made using this amazing, versatile cartridge  It's not just for scrapbookers you know.  There are 700 images with a ton of coordinating stamps.

If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one of the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this versatile cartridges from many talented crafty ladies! Enjoy our blog hop!

For my project, I decided to make a 6" x 6" scrapbook layout for Halloween:

I know Halloween is 2 months away but I'm trying to get ahead of the game, you know?  Anyway ...

I used our paper pack called "Sarita" on this layout.  It's coordinating colors include Goldrush and Outdoor Denim which are good Halloween colors ... IMHO :)

For the spiderweb overlay, I used our Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  You can find the image on page 70, Overlay, < c >.  I cut it at 6" using the Real Dial Size key.   I cut the title "Spooky" from the same page but at 2" using the Real Dial Size key.  The photo mat, again on the same page, was cut at 4" using the Real Dial Size key.

I decided to cut out a couple of circles to make eyeballs out of the 2 "O"s in the title to give the layout a little "character".  I cut the circles using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

Now I want you to use my supply list below -- notice how few products I used??  Well, one of the best things about the Artbooking cartridge is that you could JUST use it alone with paper and create your project!

SUPPLIES USED

Artbooking Cricut cartridge (Z1906)
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (Z1686)
Sarita paper pack (X7171B)

Before we move on, I wanted to share a couple of other pictures with you:

This first picture will show you the photo mat image I cut.  They were BOTH cut at 6"!!!  The difference is that for the second one I used the Real Dial Size key when I cut.  The first one was cut without that key.   I wanted you to see the difference to help you understand why this cartridge is even MORE amazing.  The first image shows you that if you cut all of the images on the page at that size they will all work together and be sized proportionally.  With the Real Dial Size Key, you put in 6", you get the image at 6" tall.

Now for the title above - each was cut with the Real Dial Size key on -- the top one was cut at 4" and the bottom at 2".  When you take a ruler and measure from the top of the tallest letter to the bottom of the lowest letter, you get the actual size.  Does that make sense?
