Back to School

Welcome to the Honeybearz Designs Back to School Blog Hop!

We will be featuring all kinds of projects relating to "Back to School" for you.  If you came here from Alicia's blog at Golden Goddess Designs, then you're in the right place.  If not, please start at the beginning with Lisa's Blog at HoneyBearz Designs.

For my project I am actually showing you something that I had previously posted in August.  Unfortunately we have had one of those weeks here at the Kelleher home.  Between the heat and humidity, a sick husband, and too many appointments, I just couldn't finish the project I was working on in time to post.  BUT, I do have the layout that I made last month that is school themed.  So let's call this project "ThrowBack to School Layout"!  Get it?  Like "Throwback Tuesday" -- hmmm, okay sounded cuter in my head.  ANYWAY, I give to you my 12" x 12" layout:

This is a 12" x 12" layout.  I actually only used cardstock for this project - no designer or patterned paper at all!  Any patterns you see in the layout were stamped!  I used the Art Philosophy and Artbooking Cricut cartridges on this layout.  The sentiment "First Day" was cut using the Artbooking cartridge.

For the faux stitching, I used a stamp set called Stitch Wonder.   For the "School Days" tag, the pencil that says "this rocks", and the stamped design on the Sunset cardstock, I used the stamp set "School Years".  Finally, I used the All the Details stamp set for the sentiment "noteworthy" the name badge, and arrows

SUPPLIES USED
Artbooking Cricut cartridge (Z1906)
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (Z1686)
Cardstock
Stitch Wonder (C1564)
School Years (D1556)
All the Details (D1555)
Color- Ready Midtown Cork Shapes (Z1863)
Adventure Exclusive Inks Mini Pigment Pads Set (Z2501)

NOTEThere are a couple of giveaways for this hop, so be sure to check each blog post carefully to see what you need to do to be eligible to win.  To make up for my "not so new" project, I am also sponsoring a giveaway!

I am giving away a stamp set called "School is Here" from Close to My Heart. Just click on the name of the stamp set to be taken to my website for a picture of the stamp set.  It's really, really cute.  So, you will need to post a comment on my blog AND every other blog in this hop to be eligible to win.
