Good Morning Crafters!
Today at Card-a-Day Blog, I start our weekly theme of "get well" cards.
For my card I decided to make something a little more masculine. I was going through my card "stash" and realized that many of my cards tend to be more on the "girlie" side and not necessarily a card I would or could send to a male friend or family member. So I decided to create a get well card for a male friend or family member:
For my card base I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of White Daisy cardstock. I then used a stamp from the Swirls Around stamp set to random stamp the background using Pacifica ink - a "manly" color, don't you think?
I then took a piece of Pacifica cardstock and cut it at 2 1/2" x 3". The patterned paper on this card comes from our ProPlayer paper pack. The blue patterned paper was cut at 2" x 3" and the smaller one at 1" x 1 3/4". The Slate (grey) piece of cardstock was cut at 1 1/4" x 2". I then took a corner rounder and rounded two opposite corners of each piece.
The sentiment "Get Well" sentiment came from our Sincere Expressions stamp set and was stamped with Pacifica ink. I edged each piece with the ink as well to give it some extra dimension.
