In the Spotlight

Good Morning Everyone!

My post today comes to from Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog.  Our challenge this week was to use a technique called "Spotlight Stamping".  Here's my take using the technique:

Basically the "Spotlight Stamping" technique is taking a section of your stamped image and placing the focus or "spotlight" on a section of it.  Here's a link to a great website/blog that explains it - Techniques Zone

If you look closely at the second picture, you will that I used 3 heart shapes to spotlight a part of my stamped image.  I used a brand new paper pack that will be released on 2/1 called 'Lollydoodle."  I then used our stamp set called "Classy Doily".  This image coordinates with our Artiste Cricut cartridge.  You can find the image on page 56 cut at 3 1/2" - C5, Shift, Accent 1 < H >.  I used Cotton Candy and Chocolate ink on the image.  I used a heart shaped punch to punch out 3 hearts.  I colored select portions of the stamped image using a Cotton Candy marker.

  1. Lucy that is so cool. I love it. The dimensions and delicate look plus the red high lights. All beautiful. I don't have Artiste yet but just adds to my reason why I need to save my pennies for it!!!
