Mardi Gras!

Hello my crafty friends!!

Hope this post finds you all doing well and crafting away!

I was asked to create some name badges for an upcoming Mardi Gras event so I wanted to show you what I have come up with so far:

I used our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut out the ticket shape at 3" x 6".  You can find the image on page 64, E4, < Rctngle >.  I used our Gypsy cardstock.  I then cut a piece of white cardstock cut at 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" and edged it with Gypsy ink to give it a bit of dimension.

The mask was cut using the Cricut Monster Bash cartridge with Black cardstock and was cut at 4" using the Real Dial Size.  You can find on page 39 of the booklet.

I used our Almond Glitz Glitter Gel (SO sad to see these go away -- they are on our retiring list while supplies last - grab yours while you can!) to outline the eyes on the mask.

The pennant strips were cut using Honey and Topiary cardstock AND (I just realized this) our NEW (coming out in our new Spring/Summer Idea Book on 2/1/14) Shimmer Trim.  That's right we're coming out with 2 NEW colors - Teal and Purple!!  Aren't they pretty???

The reason I added hearts to this badge is because I will be making additional "tickets" that will be used in a Valentine package for the Mardi Gras event.  Again, I just realized that the I cut the hearts out using another NEW product - Pink Glitter Paper!  Isn't it pretty?
