Inspired by ... A Song

Good Morning Crafters!!

This morning I come to you again from the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog where we have weekly challenges that our Design Team members create projects for and then ask you, all of the wonderful crafters in the blogging world, to link up your own projects!

This week our challenge was to create a project inspired by a song!  This was a tough one for me ... at first. THEN, we went to a friend's wedding this weekend and as the newly wed couple danced their first dance, it reminded me of my own wedding 13 years ago.  My husband and I danced our first dance to a song called "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw.  So I decided to FINALLY take the picture and make a layout of it!

Here it is:

This picture has been in a tiny frame in our living room for the past 13 years!  I thought this was a MUCH better way to memorialize that first dance.  .

I used a new product from Close to My Heart to frame my layout - our Designed Decor Shadow Box in Colonial White.

I used our new paper pack called Seaside paper pack for my layout.  I love the colors in this paper pack! The coordinating colors in this paper pack are Colonial White, Desert Sand, Glacier, Hollyhock, Lagoon, Pear and Sorbet - awesome right??

I used our exclusive Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut out the "2001" and the title "Best Friends" at 1 1/2".

I found the lyrics for our song online and then printed them out on White cardstock.

I used our exclusive Memory Protectors Flip Flaps - the 12" assortment for the lyrics - I wanted to add them to the layout but there just wasn't enough room so I used the flip flap to add them to my layout.

Finally, I used a layout pattern from our Make It From Your Heart - Volume 1.  It is Pattern 17 on page 38.

SUPPLIES USED
Artiste Cricut cartridge (Z1790)
Seaside Paper Pack (X7192B)
Designed Decor Shadow Box - Colonial White (Z2016)
Memory Protectors Flip Flaps (Z1325)
Make It From Your Heart - Volume I (9035)

Well that was MY entry for this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart.  Don't forget to not only check out my fellow design team members' creations AND to link up your own!  I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge.

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Lucy
